What is the core motion difference?
A reciprocating wire moves back and forth. A looped diamond wire moves in one direction continuously, which reduces reversal-related inertia and can support smoother high-speed cutting.
Does loop motion always give better quality?
Not automatically. The loop format helps only when wheel alignment, tension, feed rate, coolant, wire condition, and joint smoothness are also controlled.
When might reciprocating cutting still be acceptable?
Reciprocating systems may still fit simple laboratory or low-volume work. Loop systems become attractive when continuous motion, speed, shaped cutting, or process stability matter.
