Why is the loop joint critical?
The joint must carry tensile load, pass through guide wheels, and survive repeated bending. A weak or bulky joint can cause breakage, marks, or vibration.
What joint problems are common?
Common risks include insufficient breaking force, diameter enlargement, local overheating, poor alignment, rough surface, and fatigue failure during repeated cycling.
Should joint quality be inspected visually only?
No. Visual inspection is useful but incomplete. Pull strength, diameter consistency, smooth passage over wheels, and actual cutting behavior are more meaningful.
